The State Health Department, Mysuru is planning to launch the Namma Clinics under the National Urban Health Mission (NUHM) with an emphasis on treating non-communicable diseases (NCDs). These clinics will be staffed by lab technicians, D Group employees, and medical and paramedical staff and they will be open for 8 hours each day.

The Namma Clinics are being established in areas with poor healthcare facilities. They will aid in early disease detection, particularly for non-communicable and lifestyle diseases, which will speed up treatment and lessen the likelihood of life-threatening complications at later stages.

There will be six Namma Clinics in the Mysuru district. Three of these clinics will soon be built inside the city limits, while one clinic in each of HD Kote, T Narasipura, and KR Nagar is also being considered.

These clinics will be providing comprehensive healthcare services in a decentralized manner and are being opened in locations with a higher population from underprivileged social groups. These clinics will offer all primary healthcare services, including dentistry, mental health, and palliative care.
